New Features in IP Maestro 3.1.0
The following enhancements are made in this Release:
• Topology: The User Interface is provisioned to embed third-party, non-OcNOS devices into the topology view, so that the topology depicts the actual physical network to a large extent. You can add icons in the Topology map to represent third party devices and use links to connect them to OcNOS devices.
• Fault Management: Using Application Webhooks, integration with Slack has been enabled. Slack is a cloud based platform which can be used to integrate notifications and alerts with other applications. This enhancement allows you to define a Slack URL for specific users to receive notifications.
• Bulk Configuration Push: Schedule device provisioning for Push Configuration with the Time to Execute feature, which allows you to schedule a date and time for pushing the configurations.
Supported Features in IP Maestro 3.0
IP Maestro offers several compelling features:
• Topology: Discover the network topology effortlessly with a visual map, enabling an intuitive understanding of network elements' connectivity. The Topology toolbar ensures easy manipulation and provides graphical status of managed and user-defined devices, links, and services.
• Inventory: Gain a holistic view of physical and logical network resources, services, and topologies. Real-time network inventory coupled with filter functionality allows users to easily navigate and select specific inventory types.
• Fault Management: Capture and display alarms from network devices, links, and services. IP Maestro's Fault Management module efficiently processes NETCONF alarms and integrates with Syslog for centralized management and alerts. IP Maestro can be configured to send users an email when critical alarms occur.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance effortlessly with complex or calculated metrics, such as, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or Key Quality Indicators (KQIs). Define measurement points, groups, collection intervals, and aggregation intervals for precise and periodic data analysis.
• Configuration Management: Manage device configurations with IP Maestro seamlessly. Perform tasks such as downloading software images, creating and deleting configuration files, syncing configurations with the database, and executing configurations on specific devices. Take device configuration backups followed by a config diff to see the difference between two configurations.
• Audit and Logs: Ensure transparency and accountability through historical logs, including syslog records and command history logs. IP Maestro maintains a detailed account of device activities and implements a role-based user management system with comprehensive auditing logs for accountability.
• User Management: Support Role Based Access Control (RBAC) using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Authentication.
• Northbound Interface (NBI) Integration using REST APIs - Benefit from NBI integration, which provides a variety of interfaces and protocols to monitor and configure the network. The REST APIs communicate with the centralized controller to conveniently manage OcNOS devices.
• Bulk Configuration Push - Apply configurations on multiple devices using either JSON configuration push or CLI text-based configuration push. Perform operations such as merging, replacing, or deleting configurations using the JSON editor.
• Tech Support Files Generation - Generate and download tech-support files for selected OcNOS devices with an option to filter the desired modules. Easily access an archive containing diagnostic information for different protocol modules, hardware tables, running-configuration, Syslog messages, and more.
• License Enforcement - Obtain an IP Maestro license by specifying the IP address of a local license server for enhanced security and flexibility. Furthermore, specify the number of devices that can be managed by this instance of IP Maestro.
• Language Localization - Benefit from localization by choosing your preferred language at the login screen. IP Maestro offers a unique user experience in English or in Japanese.
• Streaming Telemetry Support - Monitor network health efficiently with real-time data from devices using the fundamentals of Streaming Telemetry.
Streaming Telemetry Wildcard support depends on OcNOS Version 6.6.0 for feature availability.
